Will Black Wealth ever catch up to White Wealth? – Dr Claud Anderson

Research has shown that the racial wealth gap is a major issue in the United States. According to a report by the Institute for Policy Studies, the median wealth of white families is 10 times greater than the median wealth of black families. This disparity is largely due to the legacy of slavery and the long-standing systemic racism that has prevented the African American community from accumulating wealth.

The Black Business School is working with leading scholars of both finance and psychology to understand the structural and psychological barriers to building wealth in the black community.
