US Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump questioned Kamala Harris’ racial identity. During a convention for black journalists, Trump falsely claimed that Harris recently began identifying as black after emphasising her Asian-American heritage. He said he didn’t know she was black until a few years ago and suggested she “turned black” for political reasons. These comments were made at the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Chicago.
