The State of Black Women in Politics

Tonight on BNC, Stacey Abrams joins “Prime with Charles Blow.” Abrams reignited the fight to expand access to voting, and now she’s taking the lead in a new effort to get the For the People Act passed through Congress. She is joining Charles Blow to talk about an outreach campaign aimed at flooding the inboxes of elected leaders across the country. Abrams’ power and influence also inspired a number of Black women to run for political office at the state and national levels. There have been tremendous strides in the last few years, but the number of Black women holding political office throughout the country remains low. BNC contributor and political analyst Tezlyn Figaro joins “Making the Case w/ Yodit” to discuss the topic.
