The ‘poison’ of identity politics and race obsession is spreading
Identity politics and race obsession “poison” is spreading from Americans to the British with actress Thandiwe Newton delivering a “cringeworthy” apology for not being dark enough, Sky News host Rita Panahi says.
Ms Newton in a recent interview said she wanted desperately to “apologise every day to darker-skinned actresses” for not representing them.
“That cringeworthy performance was from Thandiwe Newton, who was apologising, weeping, for the crime of not being dark enough,” Ms Panahi said.
“Apparently, being a light-skinned black woman means she’s a thief, an appropriator and incapable of representing women with darker skin tones.
“Just think about how idiotically vacuous that is.
“Apparently being the chosen one means Thandiwe is not only stealing roles but she’s stealing all the men.”
