The Nations Oldest Black Owned Business | Carolina Impact
In this Carolina Impact story, The Nations Oldest Black Owned Business takes an historical look at EE Ward Moving and Storage, the nations oldest, continuously run, black owned business. It got its start as part of the Underground Railroad system in Columbus, Ohio in the 1840’s. After the Civil War’s end, it evolved into a moving and storage company and recently opened locations in Charlotte and Raleigh.
