The Citadel’s first African American three-star general shares journey to success

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — One of The Citadel’s own is making history, becoming the first African American graduate to earn the rank of Lieutenant General.

Lt. Gen. David Wilson, from the class of 1991, was recognized for his promotion to a three-star general in the U.S. Army.
