The blood of 9 Black people brought down the Confederate flag, NOT you, Nikki Haley! | Roland Martin
Former South Carolina Governor & United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley addressed her decision to remove the confederate flag following the mass shooting of Mother Emmanuel AME Church during her Sunday night CNN town hall.
Jake Tapper asked Haley about unity in America, and she responded with how she handled the 2015 shooting at Mother Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston and why she changed course on removing the Confederate flag from the state Capitol.
South Carolina State Senator Margie Bright Matthews joins me to discuss Haley’s comments about the mass shooting that left nine dead.
This was a very different stance than Haley held during a 2010 interview when she supported the Confederate flag and would be open to a Confederate memorial month.
