The Black-White Wealth Gap with Jon Haveman

In 2019, the average white family held seven times the wealth of the average Black family. This April 2024 presentation by economist Jon Haveman provides a detailed discussion of the nature, sources, and implications of this gap along with suggestions for policies that can work to narrow it.

Haveman is the Executive Director of the National Economic Education Delegation (NEED) and is an expert on economic policy. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan.
