'Summer of Soul': The untold story of the Harlem Cultural Festival

A new film opened Friday, more than 50 years late.
It’s called “Summer of Soul.”
It’s about the all, but forgotten 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, featuring some of the greatest musical acts of all time.
Once the director was on board, it took another four years and screening through about 45 hours of video. The result takes us back to a time that looked like the beginning of a new era.
