South Africa’s black business owners seek more participation

South Africa’s government has been engaging with black owned Small and Medium Enterprises in the Saldanha Bay Industrial Development Zone, just outside Cape Town. The zone is hub for a number of heavy industries with large companies already firmly entrenched including Kumba Iron Ore and Arcalor Mittal Steel. However, black businesses who derive from the coastal town’s marginalized community say they’ve been left out of participating in the economy and they want the government to intervene.
