In this three-part series leading African-American scholars explore the long history of racial inequality in the US.  

In part one, Megan Ming Francis joins Desmond King to discuss how the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People’s (NAACP) campaign against state sanctioned racial violence in the early-mid 20th century shaped the modern civil rights movement.
