NC State African American Cultural Center exhibits unseen Martin Luther King Jr. photos
Martin Luther King Jr. once visited Raleigh in 1966, with King speaking in Reynolds Coliseum. News outlets barely covered the event because the KKK staged a protest against him in downtown Raleigh on Fayetteville Street. Now, Jason Miller, professor of English and scholar-in-residence at NC State’s African American Cultural Center, created a presentation alongside an exhibit of never-before-seen photos taken at that time of the protest and Dr. King.
