Minority Mental Health Month 2020

July is Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Month. Mental health conditions do not discriminate based on race, color, gender or identity. Minority Mental Health Month draws attention to the importance of taking on these challenges and the stigma of mental illness, particularly in communities where these problems are increased by less access to care, cultural stigma and lower quality care.

Minority mental health matters. Spread the word through awareness, support and advocacy. For mental health information and resources, visit alexandriava.gov/DCHS. For emergency mental health services, call 703.746.3401.
