Minority councilors to facilitate Pakistan's 2022 census
The Center for Social Justice (CSJ) has urged minority councilors to facilitate government enumerators for a correct count of Christians in Pakistan’s first digital census.
Councilors and sociopolitical leaders from 13 districts of Punjab province attended a Jan. 8 event organized by the CSJ that called for an accurate 7th Population and Housing Census in August.
Church leaders have been encouraging the faithful to register with the National Database and Registration Authority, get a computerized national identity card and a child registration certificate after the Christian population decreased by 0.5 percent between 1998 and 2017.
