Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo is being accused of mistreating and unjustly firing Mary Courtney, an African American woman who served as her Southwest Field Organizer and Direct Point of Contact for her reelection bid against Alexandra del Moral Mealer. According to Mary Courtney, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo fired her after she complained about being bullied, harassed, and intimidated at work. She also claims that she was threatened with termination if she didn’t engage in making slanderous remarks about Alexandra del Moral Mealer, who is running against Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in the race for Harris County Judge.
