Memphis is one of the largest majority minority cities in the United States but is still known as a place tainted by the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Since being elected, Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland has made it his commitment to help the city become more equitable for Black entrepreneurs. Mayor Strickland speaks with Quicktake’s Jennifer Zabasajja at the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis to detail his plans to increase minority and women-owned business enterprises.
