I thought The Church Mafia was an “American” problem and then I went to Africa and saw it running wild over there.

2022 will mark 20 years since I walked away from what I referred to as my Church Mafia experience. It was literally the best decision of my adult life but I can appreciate those six years more now than ever. It was those years (and the subsequent years immediately following) that gave me the confidence to stand up to oppressive systems and to seek greater understanding. If it weren’t for the shock of those years, I might have “gone with the flow”. Being ripped out of what I thought was “safety” was the best thing that could have ever happened.

On Dec 31st at 5pm EST, I will broadcast the original 2007 version of the Church Mafia for the first time on YouTube. It will be complete with a discussion and Q&A. Because I see the impact toxic religion has had and is still having on people all over the world, there is no time better than now to share this timeless classic.
