How can I let customers know my business is Black-owned? | Quick Help

Go to Google My Business to add attributes, like Black-owned, to your verified Business Profile on Google. Relevant, accurate attributes let customers know what your business has to offer, and appear on Google Search and Maps on mobile and help you stand out to customers.

There are 2 types of attributes:
1. Factual attributes, like Black-owned or outdoor seating
2. Subjective attributes, like whether your business is popular with locals
You can directly edit certain factual attributes. However, subjective attributes rely on the opinions of Google customers who’ve visited your business.

To add or edit attributes
1. On your computer, sign in to Google My Business at
2. If you have multiple locations, open the location you’d like to manage.
3. From the menu, click Info.
4. Find “From the Business” and click the pencil icon to edit. You can search for the attribute you want to add, or scroll through all the available options for your business.
5. When you’re finished updating your attributes, click Apply.
