Gary Younge on Identity Politics in Europe and the US

Identity is more than just what we think of ourselves – it is also what others see in us.
In this interview the Guardian columnist Gary Younge looks at identity politics in Europe and the US and how they are shaping the political dialogue in a globalized world.
Younge comments on the elections of the European Parliament earlier this year and describes how nationalism is used by the right.
Moreover Younge explains how identity politics and multiculturalism can create perspectives for the better of coming generations.
