Brandon Thompson – MNPS Black Excellence

Brandon Thompson, Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion at NASCAR, is a 2001 graduate of Nashville’s Pearl-Cohn High School. He attended Metro Schools for elementary, middle and high school and credits his teachers for making a huge impact in his life.

“Black Excellence is all of those teachers who I just named. All those administrators, the coaches who I just named who were able to touch students across the school system in various way. Some of them are still teaching and some of them are still involved with education. I think Black Excellence is teaching others to be excellent and think all of those folks we just talked about certainly did that.” — Brandon Thompson.
