‘Black WWII RAF Pilot Who Died Alone Honoured by Hundreds at Funeral’
Flight Sergeant Peter Brown was born in Jamaica in 1926 and died alone in London at 96 years old.
With no known relatives in the UK, a campaign sought to organise a military funeral for the WWII veteran – who was part of the so-called ‘Pilots of the Caribbean’.
And after a monumental effort, he was finally laid to rest. Report by Alex Reed.
