Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman dies of colon cancer at 43



Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman died of colon cancer on Saturday. He was 43. The news was announced by his family in a statement. The actor had been battling cancer for four years. Boseman had been diagnosed with stage three colon cancer in 2016. He appeared as Marvel superhero Black Panther in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. Boseman also appeared in director Ryan Coogler’s 2018 film, Black Panther. He followed it up with two more appearances as the character. He was featured in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Boseman’s most recent film appearance was in director Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods which released on Netflix earlier this year. Born and raised in South Carolina’s Anderson, Boseman got his first television role in 2003 in an episode of Third Watch. His last tweet came on August 12. The actor had congratulated Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris on her nomination.
