Black-Owned Grocery Store Aims To End Food Desert

Tulsa, Oklahoma is rich with history and Black excellence. Much of North Tulsa is a food desert, an area with little to no access to big grocery stores which sell fresh and affordable groceries for a healthy diet.

That’s how Oasis Fresh Market changed the game and opened its doors. CEO and owner of Oasis Fresh Market in Tulsa, Aaron Johnson, joins BNC’s “AMplified with Aisha Mills” to discuss some of his experiences that helped lead him to open Oasis.
