The Phoenix Tribune was one of the first newspapers published by African Americans in Arizona. The Arizona Gleam, Arizona Black Dispatch and Arizona Informant followed. These publications provided a voice for African Americans reporting on church life, social activities, activism, and preserving the history and legacy of its community.
