Black Business Excellence Technical Assistance Initiative
The personal care sector saw a 45% decrease in revenue since the pandemic. In response to these alarming trends, together with our partners, Pacific Premier Bank and the James Irvine Foundation, we launched the Black Business Excellence Technical Assistance Initiative, the first Black business accelerator program in the region dedicated to supporting Black-owned personal care businesses.
30 businesses were selected to join our Fall 2021 Cohort. The program included expert-led learning modules, one-on-one business advising, networking opportunities and investor pitching opportunities. The Black Business Excellence Technical Assistance Initiative is part of LISC LA’s Black Economic Development Agenda. Through these programs, we can support business owners’ livelihoods and revitalize communities. Learn more here
