ईरान के तेहरान से चीन के ग्वांगझू जा रहे विमान में बम की सूचना अफवाह निकली. महान एयर की फ्लाइट संख्या-W581 में बम होने की खबर भारत को दी गई थी. इसके बाद विमान को जोधपुर और चंडीगढ़ में लैंडिंग की इजाजत दी गई थी लेकिन विमान का पायलट दिल्ली में ही लैंडिंग करना चाहता था. 45 मिनट तक भारतीय हवाई क्षेत्र में मंडराते रहे ईरानी विमान में बम की खबर पाकर इंडियन एयरफोर्स के दो सुखोई विमानों ने फौरन उड़ान भरी थी

There was a rumor about the bomb in the plane going from Tehran, Iran to Guangzhou, China. The news of a bomb in Mahan Air’s flight number-W581 was given to India. After this the plane was allowed to land in Jodhpur and Chandigarh but the pilot of the plane wanted to land in Delhi itself. Two Sukhoi aircraft of the Indian Air Force took off immediately after receiving the news of a bomb in an Iranian plane that had been hovering over Indian airspace for 45 minutes.
