BACP African-American Small Business Expo​



The City Of Chicago is gearing up for the first African-American Small Business Expo on July 19th.

-The expo is geared toward entrepreneurs who want to start a business and established businesses that are looking to grow.

-The event will include two workshops and a tax clinic by the Center for Economic Progress.
-1st Workshop: Making Lemonade Out of Lemons of Life
-2nd Workshop: Microlending — A Great Tool for Business Growth and Development

-FREE TAX CLINIC: This is a great on-site free tax clinic presented by the Center for Economic Progress. Space is limited to 21 appointments.

-More than 30 exhibitors will be available to offer resources to attendees
-Delegate agencies participating include: Chatham Business Association, South Shore Chamber Inc., Far South Community Development Corporation, Greater Roseland Chamber of Commerce, Quad Communities Development Corporation and 10 more that have been invited.

Speaking program from 10:30 to 11 a.m. (Desiree Rogers is set as the keynote speaker)
