During a shocking racist tirade on C-SPAN this weekend, conservative columnist Ann Coulter targeted Vice President Kamala Harris, claiming she was not a “foundational Black.” Coulter’s remarks came as she responded to Donald Trump’s bizarre assertion that Harris “happened to turn Black” while running for office.

Harris, who is multiracial, has consistently identified as Black throughout her life. Trump’s comments, made to an audience of Black journalists in Chicago, sparked outrage when he claimed that Harris suddenly “became a Black person” during her political rise.
