Alabama brawl: Police identify suspects after Black dock worker attacked by white boaters | FULL
Alabama officials discussed charges laid after a dramatic brawl involving dozens of people broke out Saturday evening in Montgomery, Ala., after a Black dock worker was attacked by a group of white people who refused to move their illegally parked pontoon boats from his designated spot.
Montgomery police department Chief Darryl Albert identified numerous suspects in the brawl, including Richard Roberts, 48, who has two outstanding warrants for his arrest in the third degree, Alan Todd, 23, who has one warrant for assault in the third degree, and Zachary Shipman, 25, who has a warrant for assault in the third degree.
Chief Albert says one suspect is in custody with the other two set to turn themselves in.
Albert says the department is asking Reggie Gray, who was seen wielding a folding chair during the brawl, to contact police.
Albert says the investigation is ongoing and more charges are “likely.”
