His name was Saint Benedict the Moor and he was born in 1526. Did you know that the first Afrodescedant head of State in the modern Western world was an Italian man? His name was Alessandro de’ Medici and he was the duke of Florence from 1531 -1537. All of this and more coming right up in this video!
