African American Portrait Project
On June 9th, 2014 the City of Austin unveiled 22 new portraits bordering the existing public art at the African American Cultural and Heritage Facility.
The exhibit highlights African Americans who have made a long lasting impact in the city and who were… or continue to be pioneers in their area of service.
The City’s African American Resource Advisory Commission oversees the portrait selection process. Learn more at www.austintexas.gov/heritagefacility.
