Western Cape Storms | Residents of informal settlements struggling to rebuild homes

Over 500 structures have been destroyed due to high winds in the Strand and Helderberg areas. Cape Town officials say more than 30 power outages have also been reported across various areas in the metro. With over 50mm of rain expected in the region today, officials say disaster management teams are on high alert while mopping-up operations continue.
