The Port of Charleston was the biggest entry point for Africans during the transatlantic slave trade. Charleston has wonderful southern charm but make sure you also go to the International African American Museum to get a full picture of the dynamic history of this port town. In this video, I also show you the not-so-obvious balcony where you can get an unobstructed view of the harbor where history comes alive if you close your eyes for a moment and let the breeze pass over you.
