Part I REALPOLITIK: African Americans, COVID-19, and Politics

COVID-19 or novel coronavirus reputedly originated from animals in Wushan Province, China. However, there is evidence that COVID-19 is a man-made virus. Regardless as to whether or not COVID-19 is a natural phenomenon or an artificial one, members of the power elite stand the most to gain from the pandemic and those vulnerable to volatile power shifts stand the most to lose, which includes the African American population in the United States. It is imperative that African American statesmen (i.e. Louis Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, etc.) and elected officials (i.e. Congressional Black Caucus) understand the political environment and how best to protect the interests of their constitutents.
