360 video: How 3 African American businesses survived decades of turmoil



Of all of the businesses along Washington’s famous U Street corridor, only three have survived through decades of roiling racial conflict that followed Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination in 1968. We learn how they’ve survived and thrived even through the neighborhood’s era of modern revitalization.
