BRENDA ARTS Program Aims To Educate Kids About Black Culture



The U.S. education system wasn’t created with Black communities in mind.

While educational reform has made tremendous progress over the century, it’s still lacking, especially in culturally reflective content that would affirm Black children. The founder and creative director of the nonprofit BRENDA ARTS, Spencer Garland, joins BNC’s “AMplified with Aisha Mills” to discuss the inspiration behind the program designed for POC youth.
