Three Florida high school students have filed a lawsuit following the state’s decision to ban a new AP course on African American studies.
Three AP honors students who filed the lawsuit were joined by a teacher’s union representative, several state lawmakers and prominent Attorney Ben Crump. Gov. Ron DeSantis is defending the state’s rejection of the curriculum, saying that an African-American studies course “lacks educational value.”
