The Politics of the Economy – Professor Chris Malikane

Journalist Thabo Makwakwa interviews Wits University Associate Professor of Economics Chris Malikane. In this interview, they discuss the Politics of the South African economy. Prof. Malikane argues that the South African economy, is based, founded on the dispossession, oppression & super-exploitation, of the African indigenous majority, particularly the theft of their land by Europeans. He says the Mineral Energy Complex, which is white-dominated is the core & heartbeat of the South African economy & is in full control of the country. Malikane also provides the way forward and possible solutions to how the African majority can adress this historial injustice.
