Florida BANS AP African American Studies

The Florida Department of Education has banned a high school AP course on African American Studies. Proponents of the course have framed the ban as Governor Ron DeSantis trying to whitewash history. Opponents of the course say it teaches concepts like critical race theory as fact, and lacks the balance of opposing viewpoints on the subject.
