SUPPORTERS of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, held simultaneous rallies across many states of the country to drum up support for Obi as Nigerians marked 62 years of independence.
The hugely attended rallies, which saw the supporters, known as Obi-dients, marching through some major cities of Lagos, Delta, Abia, Osun, Kaduna, Akwa Ibom, Edo, and Bauchi among others, caused traffic snarls in some of the areas.
Also, Women in their large number on Monday, shut down vehicular movement as they stormed various parts of Lagos in support of the presidential candidacy of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu/Kashima Shettima.
Videos of the women, comprising artisans, traders and market women and professionals, marching on the streets with banners, have been trending online.
