Fort Worth Opera invites you to experience A Night of Black Excellence: Say It Loud – Songs of a Revolution! Join us for this star-studded concert of opera, jazz, and gospel music in celebration of Black History Month on February 20 at Fort Worth’s historic I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM and VPA.

Co-curated by internationally renowned Metropolitan Opera soprano Karen Slack and FWO General Director Afton Battle, this phenomenal line-up of artists will feature performances of arias and songs exclusively by Black and Afro-Latino(a) composers.

Fort Worth Opera will also honor Ms. Opal Lee, 95-year-old “Grandmother of Juneteenth” and internationally beloved Fort Worth social impact leader, with a special tribute during the concert. Experience some of the most extraordinary Black artists in the opera world and beyond!
