Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday questioned the conduct of the Mumbai police in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case by faulting the Mumbai police probe in it. Raut in his column ‘Rok Thok’ in the party mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ wrote, “ The Mumbai police dragged the probe longer then it should have been. Celebrities from the entertainment world were being called every day for interrogation and this led to a lot of gossips. It needs to be verified whether this party was used for creating terror among the entertainment industry.” The Sena MP also faulted the police for not engaging with the media enough. “ As soon as the police realized that the probe is high profile the police should have interacted with the media and given out details of the investigation. The cops should have said that if there was any (involvement) of a political person or minister then his statement would also be taken.” wrote the MP.
