#LearnOn – Black History and Generational Wealth with Patrice McLaurin

This week on #LearnOn we’re sharing a brilliant and personal analysis of generational wealth through the context of Black History from EVERFI Subject Matter Expert, Patrice McLaurin. As we celebrate Black History Month, it’s crucial to include stories of Black business figures to fully understand the contributions of the African American community throughout our country’s history. Patrice discusses how financial wellness must be taught through a culturally relevant lens in order to address pervasive systemic issues related to wealth confiscation. Patrice does an excellent job of calling out the necessity of centering Black social-emotional learning needs alongside discussions of financial literacy.
