the Joel BuchananArchive of African American Oral History, acollection within the Samuel Proctor OralHistory Program (SPOHP). This project, titled “Reanimating African American Oral Histories of the Gulf South,” aims to create lesson plans that honor the African American voice and reduce bias in AI against linguistic variations.

This project is funded through the National Endowment for the Humanities and local sponsors.
