Anglo American Platinum launches its first of its kind hydrogen-powered haul truck

Mining giant, Anglo American Platinum, has launched the first of its kind hydrogen-powered haul truck at its Mogalakwena Platinum Mine in Mokopane, Limpopo. President Cyril Ramaphosa, who delivered the keynote address at the event, says the prototype places South Africa as a world leader in the creation of a hydrogen economy that benefits citizens. Ramaphosa says the zero-carbon emissions truck is a remarkable milestone which will lead to new industries in the country, and an economy that is more sustainable.
