MoAD Museum of the African Diaspora in San Francisco

Happy MLK Day! Today, I’m going to show you a glimpse into the Museum of the African Diaspora. A Smithsonian Affiliate, MoAD is a contemporary art museum that celebrates black culture. And for MLK Day, the museum is free! Even when it’s not free, the price of admission is extremely reasonable at $10 per adult, with discounts for children, students & seniors.

The exhibits rotate, so if you’ve been before, you can come again and get an entirely new experience.

This video is a small sample of each exhibit currently at the museum.
Because I’m an amateur photographer, I was most interested in Kwame Brathwaite’s photography exhibit, but fell in love with Laylah Amatullah Barrayn photos of the Baye Fall in Senegal.
