Power of Difference Part Three: Black Wealth Accumulation and Preservation

The exclusion of Black people from full economic participation continues to have a significant and quantifiable impact on the U.S. Economy. The 2021 Power of Difference series, hosted by the Bloomberg L.P. Black Professional Community and Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Greenwood Initiative, seeks to highlight and discuss the structures that aid Black wealth accumulation and extraction.

In recognition of the 100-year anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre, the third installment in this unique three-part series will take an in-depth look at Black wealth transfer and preservation in America.

With a focus on Black wealth accumulation and strategies to earn and keep more, this session will explore the truth about income versus wealth, policies and practices that restrict the accumulation of wealth, and promising practices to build and keep Black wealth.
