‘We are not taught at all about the Continent of Africa except for the extremely PROPAGANDIZED way. We are taught in school that you guys were slaves, and Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves, there was a civil war, then they jump to Martin Luther King, Jr.’

For years, he has been sharing news on his channel, fighting disinformation and propaganda around the African and African-American news.

Far too often the children of the African Diaspora don’t know enough about the African continent, as in school Black history is only taught starting with slavery. White propaganda only depicts African countries in a stereotypical and incorrect way: underdeveloped, poor and unstable. Phillip’s mission is to build a new, more accurate and inclusive narrative.
